Finding furniture that feels like you is a nightmare. Facebook Marketplace is chaotic & time consuming, Pinterest is inspiring but not real life, and fast furniture falls apart.
01 The renovator

A hands-on homeowner, often juggling trades, timelines, and budgets. They love a good bargain and don’t mind putting in some elbow grease to take a piece from good to great.
- A professional or freelance designer working with multiple clients. They’re timeline and budget-conscious, need to stay organised, and want to collaborate with clients easily.

A creative person passionate about crafting a unique, intentional home over time. Think slow decorating, vintage gems, and sustainable choices.
I’m currently in the research and discovery phase of this project, gathering insights around the secondhand furniture market and identifying key user pain points. So far, I’ve spoken with vintage shop owners, people in the process of moving, and interior professionals to understand behaviours, needs, and motivations. I’m now looking to deepen this research and validate early ideas for features that could be useful to these users.
I’m also exploring ways to integrate AI into the platform particularly in how it can assist with:
• Style detection and taste matching - Google Vision ai
• Smart filtering based on style, location or budget
• Sourcing suggestions across multiple marketplaces - Pinterest API etc.
• Building moodboards or curated “spaces” automatically - Open AI embeddings
In parallel, I’m developing a product document to be integrated into Lovable (or similar) alongside Figma designs, with the goal of building a functional MVP.
